Q&A: How does the Royal Mail tracking work?

BioGrad Diagnostics Royal mail tracking

How does the Royal Mail tracking work?

When booking a Covid-19 test from BioGrad you have the option to either visit one of our Clinics and be swabbed by one of our trained healthcare professionals, or, you can purchase a postal test which will be sent to your address to administer yourself.

If you order a postal test this will be processed and sent Via Royal Mail, to ensure your delivery arrives as quick as possible there are a few things to consider.

1.     Where is your local post-box?

2.     Is this a priority post-box?

3.     Which day are you sending the test?

When sending the tests back to BioGrad for us to process your test, we advise you to use a “Priority Post-box” which are specially designed to speed up the delivery process. These are specific post boxes that are labelled with the “Priority post box” sticker and have extra collection times throughout the week to ensure your test arrives at our laboratory for processing as soon as possible.

Across the UK there are 35,000 Priority post boxes but only 15,000 of these are collected on a Sunday, therefore if you are in the situation where a test has to be posted on a Sunday, you can use the Royal Mail website to check where these specific Post-boxes are and to check which have a Sunday collection time. To ensure you receive your results as soon as possible we advise no matter what time or day it is that all Covid-19 testing kits are posted in a Priority Post box, this will hopefully create a delay-free delivery and enable us to get your test result back to you as soon as possible.
