Preparing to go abroad is a stressful situation at the best of times, from triple checking the dates you book, all the way to the “tickets, money passport” check as you pat yourself down on the way out the door, travelling abroad is an easy way to raise your stress and anxiety levels. For most people, this has only increased with the additional responsibility of testing to travel.
Here are our top tips to ensure your testing is as simple and as swift as possible.
1) Order your tests early
We always recommend that people order tests as soon as possible. Despite all orders before 4pm being dispatched on a 24hr tracked service with Royal Mail, we recommend ordering in advance to avoid any sort of disappointment and to remain on the safe side.
2) Make sure that you fill the Public Health England information
Links to fill in the Public Health England information can be found at various stages in the testing process. Despite this, customers still often skip over this section, leading to delays in results being released. If anyone is unsure whether they have filled it in, they can do so at any time by visiting: https://www.biograddiagnostics.co.uk/public-health-england-data.
3) Know your results turnaround time
One of the frequent enquiries the team deals with is customers who have misread the information regarding the turnaround time for results. This can lead to confusion and frustration for customers, we would therefore recommend that you visit our ‘FAQs’ to ensure that you understand the correct timescale for your Covid-19 tests. This can be found at: https://www.biograddiagnostics.co.uk/faqs.
4) Keep a note of your tracking number
Before you post your parcel back to us it is vital that you make a note of the tracking number directly below the barcode on the front of the package. This will allow you to track the parcel on the Royal Mail website to see when it arrives with us. Making a note of the tracking number either on your phone or the instructions card will make the process of tracking the parcel back to us easier.
5) Ensure all personal details are correct
If you have multiple email addresses, mobile numbers, or postal addresses, please ensure that they are the same across all the information you provide when ordering your tests. Failure to do so could lead to delays in receiving results, something we don’t want any of our customers to experience.
